AWA Studios Announces New Series "The Many Deaths of Laila Starr" by Ram V and Filipe Andrade

 

   AWA Studios, the new comics publisher from former Image Comics president Axel Alonso and former Valiant Entertainment CEO Bill Jemas, has announced a new series called "The Many Deaths of Laila Starr" by Ram V and Filipe Andrade. The series is described as a "cosmic noir" that follows Laila Starr, a woman who has the ability to see the past lives of everyone she meets.

    Laila uses her ability to help people find closure and move on from their pasts. However, she soon learns that her ability is also a curse. She can see the many ways that people can die, and she knows that she is destined to die a violent death herself.

     "The Many Deaths of Laila Starr" is a unique and thought-provoking comic book that explores the themes of life, death, and redemption. The series is sure to appeal to fans of cosmic horror, noir, and mystery.

    The series is scheduled to be released in October 2023.

Nami Sano, the manga creator behind the popular comedy series "Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto" and the upcoming fantasy series "Migi to Dali", passed away on August 5th, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. She was only 36 years old.       Sano's death was announced by Kadokawa on August 16th, 2023, along with a heartfelt message from her family and editors.
